about

As the listener has certainly discovered, I very much like slow Blues. I thought since it captured the spirit of the record it was a good title track. It is also a phrase that I have adopted from my old friend Everett Mock which he used to sum up his slow decline. He lived into his 80’s and I thank him for really turning me on to early Blues and Jazz. The tune is a simple 4 bar Blues that I turned into an AABA form and is a feature for the wonderful bassist Martin Heslop.
